Photo upload instructions

In order to upload photos to any of the galleries you have to log in.  If you were on a trip and want to upload photos, please e-mail me for the username and password for the appropriate gallery by e-mail.  I will then set up a sub-gallery in your name and send you the username and password.  Both the Username and Password are case sensitive. 

The login link is top right of each gallery page. 

Once you have logged in, 1he uploading process is fairly self explanatory, and offers several options.  Just click on the link, “Hey! Add some photos”, in the center of the page, and follow the instructions.  The easiest is the upload form that the system defaults to; however, feel free to experiment with one or other of the Java upload applets (which are more efficient if you have lots of photos you want to upload - I use the Big Java Applet). 

Due to system settings that I can’t change, trying to upload photos bigger than 2MB will cause problems, so you will either have to re-size your images first, or use one of the Java Applets and use the settings to re-size the files as they are uploaded.  I re-size to 1.6 MB which seems to work fine.
